At Salus Care Wales we pride ourselves in providing bespoke around the clock residential care, tailored to supporting the needs of children between the ages of 5 -18 yrs.
At the centre of this are our qualified Support Staff who specialise in forming and maintaining trusting relationships; supporting individuals to overcome previous trauma, adversity or any learning difficulties that maybe holding them back from becoming the best version of themselves.
Our warm and welcoming Residential Homes provide a safe and nurturing environment with consistent boundaries to promote structure and routine to the everyday lives of the children we support.
The Right Environment
Every child has a right to self-determination, to feel safe and valued. We also recognise that everyone has the natural capacity to learn, grow and develop, so our focus is on developing the potential, strengths, interests, abilities, knowledge, and capacities of each child.
The whole staff team are seen as the key agents of change, through their relationships with the children. There is great emphasis on the provision of a warm and nurturing environment, with the development of a positive relationship between staff and the children being the cornerstone to a successful placement.
A warm relationship makes a substantial contribution to the resilience of the individual and increases the likelihood of the child developing other positive relationships in the future. Such a relationship is characterised by acceptance, warmth, affection, trust, protection and support.
We provide an environment where children can learn to value diversity and equality and be confident in challenging discrimination in all forms. We encourage and facilitate the involvement of children who wish to carry out any religious or cultural observance.
